Late winter thaws in Toronto
I was driving by my old stomping ground of High Park recently, and was struck by how amazing it looked with the relative warmth creating fog around the trees. I didn’t have my camera with me, but I did have my cell phone, which has a 3.2 megapixel camera in it. I walked around briefly and got various shots, the best of which are uploaded here.
I was glad to have stopped to smell the proverbial roses. Minutes after I first saw the fog, the sun had come through the clouds and burned it away.

Cool pics, particularly with a phone. I did always like this time of year up there. We get a fair amount of fog down here too, but unlike the cool mist that these pics show, it tends to be warmer, and the warmth combined with the humidity really makes your lungs feel like they are working when you walk around in it.
I hate it when my lungs work.
And thanks. Yeah, the phone camera, as evidenced by the Doughty pics, is a bit hit and miss. Or, likely more to the point, I haven’t sat down with it and really figured out exactly what does… er… what, exactly. But I was happy with the way the High Park pics came out, particularly since I hadn’t really been prepared to go a-shootin’.
