What I read this month

Being the early Doggo Times, even without a lot of work happening, I haven’t had a lot of time to read — or to post anything… regular readers will notice I completely missed April in this series of posts and in fact didn’t even realize that until over a week into May — so it’s a bit slim this month. Hope to get more in through June.

Started and stopped
Will Trent: Triptych – Karin Slaughter

Reading
Wake – Robert J. Sawyer

My wife and I started watching the Will Trent series online, and really enjoy it. I figured I could do with checking out the book series that the show was based on, and… kind of wish I hadn’t. I won’t get into detail about why, but let’s just say that the first Will Trent book was to the show what the Charlaine Harris Midnight, Texas books were to the show of the same name: In an unusual twist, I prefer those shows way more than the books. Different strokes for different folks, as they say.

Meanwhile, the more I read books by Robert J. Sawyer, the more I like his style and wish some of this stuff was done as shows or movies, just to help spread the word of his talen. I was hoping to get through Wake this month, followed by the rest of that trilogy, but best laid plans, and all that.

Onward!
