What I read this month

Whoo, boy, what a difference it’s been with these audiobooks. Both for good and… well… less good. Here’s what I got through this month.

Read
The Rhythm of Time – Questlove, S.A. Cosby
Four Minutes – Brian Andrews, Jeffrey Wilson
We’re All In This Together… So Make Some Room – Tom Papa
Funny You Should Say That – Gerry Dee
Quietly Hostile – Samantha Irby
A Man Without a Country – Kurt Vonnegut

Started and stopped
Dogs of War – Adrian Tchaikovsky
Operation Grendel – Daniel Schwabauer
Do You Mind If I Cancel? – Gary Janetti
This Won’t Help: Modest Proposals For a More Enjoyable Apocalypse – Eli Grober
Sure, I’ll Join Your Cult – Maria Bamford

Reading
Fuzzy Nation – John Scalzi
Clockwork Boys: Clocktaur Wars Book One – T Kingfisher

Six books finished in one month? I can’t recall the last time that happened, if ever. And that’s not counting all the ones I started and then stopped because they weren’t my thing. Huzzah for listening to books while otherwise too busy to read!

Clockwork Boys is a book-book, not an audiobook. And as with so much else I’ve read from Kingfisher, this one is shaping up to be really fun. I can’t imagine I’ll finish it in the next few days, so it’ll be done in early 2025, and is looking like an early contender for a Top 10 Books for next year.

Speaking of which, the Top 10 Books for this year is coming up shortly.
